Bothell show explores driftwood
May 20, 2008
The 45th Annual Driftwood Sculpture Show will be presented by the Northwest Driftwood Artists. The show will feature over 100 juried driftwood sculptures, finished in the LuRon Method.
The exhibit presents weathered wood collected from beaches, rivers, forests. The pieces will be carefully cleaned, shaped, sanded and finely finished. This painstaking process takes an artist several months to a year to bring an interesting piece of driftwood through its evolution into a stunning art sculpture.
Admission to the show is free, cameras are welcome. Interested parties should contact show chair Joanne Barrie Lynn (425-821-9128) for more information.
